inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate has uncovered a narcotics trafficking case in East Jakarta.
A man identified as RRM (24) was arrested after being found in possession of 102.45 grams of methamphetamine, synthetic tobacco, and synthetic fluids suspected of being ready for distribution.
The arrest was made on Sunday (6/7/2026) at approximately 10:00 PM at a rented house in Cipayung, East Jakarta. The arrest stemmed from public information regarding narcotics trafficking activity at the location.
After conducting an investigation and monitoring the area around the crime scene, police identified the target in front of the rented house.
During the arrest and subsequent search, police found a black plastic bag containing methamphetamine. Police then returned to the suspect's rental house and found additional methamphetamine, synthetic tobacco, and a bottle of synthetic seeds.
"We confiscated from the perpetrator one plastic bag containing methamphetamine weighing a total of 102.45 grams, 17 straws containing methamphetamine, 15 grams of synthetic tobacco, six bottles of synthetic seeds, two digital scales, two mobile phones, and several plastic bags suspected of being used to package narcotics," explained Head of Unit 1, Sub-Directorate 3, Directorate of Drug Criminal Investigation, Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Second Police Inspector Gandi Rezeki Sinaga, Wednesday (6/17/2026).
He added that the perpetrator used a "Sedot WC" sticker that would be attached to poles and trees along roads in Cipayung. The suspect and the evidence were then taken to the police HQ for further questioning.
