The Bekasi Sub-regional Metro Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit has uncovered a case of alleged distribution of prescription drugs without a distribution permit in the Cibarusah District, Bekasi Regency. Two men, identified as BM and AG, were arrested in the operation.

The two were arrested in the Sindangmulya, Bekasi Regency, on Monday (6/15/2026). The Head of the Bekasi Sub-regional Metro Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Unit, Superintendent Hannry PH Tambunan, stated that the case stemmed from public reports regarding the alleged distribution of prescription drugs in Cibarusah.

"Based on information from the public, officers conducted an investigation and successfully arrested two individuals suspected of being involved in the distribution of the drugs without a distribution permit," said Hannry on Tuesday (6/16/2026).

He added that investigators seized several pieces of evidence from the investigation. The confiscation included 540 Tramadol tablets, 692 Eximer tablets, two mobile phones, several plastic clip packs, a black wallet, and IDR 615,000 in cash.

Based on initial interrogation, he revealed, the two men admitted to obtaining the drugs from an individual identified as AGM. Police are currently hunting suspect AGM and have placed him on the wanted list.

"We are still investigating this case. We are also pursuing the drug supplier," he explained.

Investigators have secured the two suspects along with evidence for further legal proceedings. The two suspects are suspected of violating provisions regarding the distribution of pharmaceutical products without a distribution permit, as stipulated in the Health Law.

He urged the public to actively provide information if they become aware of the distribution of illegal drugs or other crimes in their communities.
