Unit 5, Sub-Directorate 3 of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate, thwarted the distribution of etomidate packaged in vape liquid cartridges in East Jakarta. As a result of this operation, 1,409 vape liquid cartridges were seized as evidence.

Head of Sub-Directorate 3, Superintendent Ade Candra, explained that the case was uncovered on Wednesday (4/8/2026) at approximately 3:50 p.m. in Bassura Apartment area, East Jakarta. During the operation, investigators arrested a woman with the initials E (37).

"The arrest stemmed from information from the public regarding narcotics distribution activity in the area," he explained on Friday (4/10/2026).

Following up on the report, Unit 5, Sub-Directorate 3 of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police Drugs Criminal Investigation Directorate, immediately conducted an investigation and ultimately apprehended the suspect in two locations: in front of Bassura Mall and in the apartment room where the suspect lived. During the search, officers found 1,409 vape liquid cartridges containing etomidate, each of various brands and logos.

Additionally, an automatic press, empty plastic bags, and three mobile phones suspected of being used in the distribution were also confiscated. The suspect and the evidence were taken to the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police HQ for further investigation.

"At the scene, we arrested a female suspect, identified as E, along with 1,409 Etomidate vape cartridges in various colors," said Ade.
