inp.polri.go.id - Central Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) deployed 1,700 joint personnel to secure the 2026 FIFA International Series football final at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in Central Jakarta. Today's match is scheduled to be between Indonesia and Bulgaria, with a third-place match between Solomon Islands and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police Chief, Senior Superintendent Reynold E.P. Hutagalung, stated that the thousands of personnel will be tasked with maintaining order in the area around the stadium.
"A total of 1,700 joint personnel are securing the FIFA International Series football match at GBK in Central Jakarta. This match will be held in two sessions: the first kick-off at 3:30 PM for the third-place match, and the final kick-off at 8:00 PM," explained Reynold on Monday (3/30/2026).
He stated that the security personnel are from the Jakarta Regional Metro Police, the Central Jakarta Sub-regional Metro Police, the Indonesian National Military (TNI), the Jakarta Provincial Government, and other relevant parties. Personnel will be stationed at several points around the GBK stadium, from the entrance, the match venue, and the Senayan area.
Reynold also appealed to supporters not to bring prohibited items such as firecrackers, flares, sharp weapons, drugs, or alcoholic beverages into the stadium. He hoped that the national team supporters in attendance would maintain a conducive atmosphere.
"We will ensure the safety of the supporters watching at GBK, and ensure that all parties maintain security and order at the match venue. We hope that supporters can keep their composure and avoid any anarchy or damage to public facilities," he said.
