Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Immigration and Corrections reported that a total of 2,834 high-risk inmates have been relocated to Nusakambangan maximum and super-maximum security prisons in Central Java as of June 2026.
The latest transfer, conducted early Monday (8/6/2026), involved 134 inmates from Riau, North Sumatra, Jambi, and Lampung.
“A total of 2,834 high-risk inmates have been transferred to Nusakambangan during Minister Agus Andrianto’s leadership.” Director General of Corrections Mashudi said
He explained the move aims to ensure proper rehabilitation and security while preparing inmates to reintegrate into society. He said that the relocation is part of broader efforts to strengthen correctional management and maintain public safety.
