71 Female Police Academy Cadets Join Mentorship Program in 73 Sekolah Rakyat

Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Among the over 1,000 Indonesian Military (TNI) and Police Academy (Akpol) cadets participating in the 2026 People’s Schools (Sekolah Rakyat) Taruna Bhakti Program, 71 female police cadets played a key role in student mentorship. 

Operating alongside 372 male police cadets across 73 Sekolah Rakyat)nationwide, the female cadets focused on early character building through leadership, discipline, and a child-friendly approach.

The five-day Taruna Bhakti Program ran from 1 to 5 August 2026, coinciding with the School Environment Orientation Period . The joint initiative, which is supported by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the TNI Academy, and the Police Academy, guides new students adapting to boarding school life while fostering nationalism and personal independence.

Indonesian National Police (INP Head of Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko highlighted that the involvement of female cadets directly fulfills instructions from Social Affairs Minister Saifullah Yusuf for cadets to act as compassionate role models and big sisters.

"The Minister's message was clear that cadets must be exemplars who guide with empathy," he said on Wednesday (5/8/2026). "The presence of female cadets enriches the mentorship process by bringing strong leadership, care, warm communication, and a dedication to service that inspires students."

A total of 482 INP officers, comprising 372 Akpol cadets, including the 71 female cadets,  and 110 supervisory officers, were deployed across 29 Cadet Sub-Units. Mentors facilitated activities in time management, basic drill training, dormitory upkeep, anti-bullying education, and leadership workshops to help students develop confidence and character for Indonesia's Golden Vision 2045.
