inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Government Communications Agency (Bakom), Muhammad Qodari, stated that the abundance of international events held in Indonesia throughout August 2026 proves that Indonesia is a safe country.

Bakom RI Head Qodari stated that Indonesia has earned the world's trust as a host for various international-class events that attract attention not only domestically but also from the international community.

"This trust is proof that Indonesia is a safe, comfortable country, and ready to host international events which will give us a positive impact on our tourism and the national economy," said Qodari in a statement received in Jakarta on Tuesday (7/28/2026).

He provided examples of several events planned for August 2026, ranging from sporting events such as the Aston Villa vs. Indonesia All Stars match, AC Milan vs. Chelsea, the Maybank Marathon Bali, to music and anime events such as the LaLaLa Festival 2026 and the Anime Festival Asia Indonesia.

Previously, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, in a statement on Saturday (7/25/2026), announced various national and international sports, cultural, music, and exhibition events taking place in Indonesia throughout the remainder of 2026 and early 2027.

This, Teddy said, demonstrates Indonesia's ability to host world-class events. These events not only provide entertainment and achievements, but also open up opportunities for collaboration, stimulate tourism, revitalize the local economy, and provide opportunities for the community to work and develop.
