inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The B Pioneer Battalion of the Mobile Brigade Unit of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police and the East Jakarta Sub-regional Metropolitan Police foiled a planned brawl on Kerja Bakti VII street, East Jakarta, early Sunday morning (4/19/2026).

Officers initially found a group of youths under the influence of alcohol and behaving suspiciously. Upon questioning the teenagers, officers found several items suspected of being used in the brawl: two spears, a golf club, chili water, and a motorcycle.

These findings confirmed the planned clash, and all the youths at the scene were immediately taken to the East Jakarta Sub-regional Metropolitan Police for further questioning.

The Head of the Mobile Brigade Unit of the Jakarta Regional Metropolitan Police, Senior Superintendent Henik Maryanto, emphasized that this joint patrol was a concrete effort to prevent potential security disturbances in East Jakarta.

"We will not allow any activity that could disrupt public order. Patrols will continue to be stepped up to maintain public safety," he said.

He added that the presence of personnel in the field is not only for enforcement, but also as a preventative measure to suppress potential street crimes, such as brawls, early on. This effort, he said, is very effective in maintaining a conducive situation, especially during the dangerous hours of night and early morning.
