A joint team from Sub-Directorate IV and the Narcotic Investigation Center (NIC) of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Criminal Investigation Agency raided the New Zone nightclub in Medan, North Sumatra, early Saturday (5/23/2026). He stated that 34 people were arrested in the raid, including the owner, manager, staff, adult patrons, and minors.

The Director of Drugs Criminal Investigation of INP, Brigadier General Eko Hadi Santoso, stated that the operation took place at around 3:25 a.m. During the raid, several pieces of drug evidence were confiscated from the premises.

"Urine tests were conducted on the 34 people arrested, and several tested positive for drug use," explained Eko on Saturday (5/23/2026).

The arrested individuals were then taken to the police hq for further questioning. Eko stated that the New Zone nightclub in Medan has a history of drug-related offenses.

"A full release will be issued after the investigation is complete," said Eko.
