inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The National Police (INP)'s Security Maintenance Agency (Baharkam) has prepared two air ambulances stationed on the island of Java to provide medical assistance in case of incidents during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return travel period.
"Baharkam has prepared two air ambulances for use at any time in the event of an incident during the homecoming travel period. However, these are currently only stationed on the island of Java," stated the Head of INP Baharkam, Commissioner General Karyoto, during a hearing with Commission III of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) at the parliamentary complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (3/11/2026).
The air ambulances are a form of operational support for Operation Ketupat 2026 from the Baharkam to support security and provide optimal medical response to the public.
"Several air ambulance helicopters, including the NBO-105 and NBO-105 P-115, are capable of transporting two victims simultaneously and are equipped with flight safety standards and air medical equipment," explained Karyoto.
The helicopters, Karyoto continued, will be used to evacuate victims in emergency situations, such as accidents, and to ensure the public feels safe and comfortable while celebrating this year's Eid al-Fitr.
"During Operation Ketupat 2026, we are on standby at the Kalikangkung Rest Area (Semarang) and the KM 29 Rest Area (Jakarta-Cikampek)," he added.
Karyoto further explained that during Operation Ketupat 2026, they deployed six helicopters and one aircraft, with 47 personnel on standby at the Air Police Directorate Headquarters.
