The team was dispatched as part of Operational Control Assistance (BKO) to the NTT Regional Police. As reported by Antara on Wednesday (August 19, 2026).
Bali Regional Police Public Relations Chief, Senior Superintendent Ariasandy, stated that the deployment of Brimob SAR personnel demonstrates the National Police's commitment to the community facing emergencies due to the disaster.
"This is a concrete manifestation of the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s concern for others. We hope the personnel can provide the best possible assistance to the disaster-affected communities in NTT," said Ariasandy in Denpasar on Wednesday (8/19/2026).
The 10 Mobile Brigade SAR personnel departed from the Tohpati Headquarters in Denpasar.
The departure was directly seen off by the Bali Regional Police Mobile Brigade Commander, Senior Superintendent Febryanto Siagian, accompanied by senior Brimob officers.
The SAR team, led by Second Police Inspector Nyoman Suastika, brought several special vehicles to support the humanitarian operation.
The support also consisted of four vehicles, which were the field kitchen vehicle, the clean water vehicle, a field kitchen support vehicle, and an Isuzu D-Max.
