Inp.polri.go.id - Serang.  The Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of Banten Regional Police conducted a socialization program in Sukadana Village, Kasemen District, Serang City, to raise awareness about preventing violence against women and children as well as human trafficking.

“This educational step reflects the police’s commitment to increasing public awareness and care for vulnerable groups,” said Superintendent Irene Missy, the Head of Sub-Directorate IV, on Friday (12/6/2026).

The program provided residents with knowledge about forms of violence and trafficking crimes, encouraging vigilance and proactive prevention at the community level. 

Chief Irene said that women and children remain the most vulnerable targets, making family and neighborhood involvement crucial in safeguarding them.

“Family and community roles are vital in providing protection. Supervision and attention must be strengthened so children are not easily victimized,” she explained.

Through direct engagement with local communities, Banten Police hope to significantly reduce domestic violence and human trafficking cases.
