Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Blora Sub-regional Police secured the crash site of a Sky Ranger fixed-wing aerosport aircraft that caught fire during an emergency landing in Sarimulyo Village, Ngawen District, Blora Regency, Central Java, on Sunday (6/9/2026).

Blora Police Crime Investigation Unit Head Assistant Senior Inspector Zaenul Arifin confirmed the aircraft suffered engine failure during a flight from Pangandaran, West Java, to Malang, East Java, following a refueling stop at Adisutjipto Airport in Yogyakarta.

"The aircraft experienced mechanical failure mid-flight, forcing the pilot to execute an emergency landing in a paddy field," he said.

The pilot, Dhoni Vasmin A (39), and co-pilot, Ignatius Andreas (31), safely escaped with minor injuries before flames destroyed the fuselage. Inafis crime scene investigation units cordoned off the area under the aegis of the Indonesian Aerosport Federation (FASI) to investigate the cause.
