Inp.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. The National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) confirmed that 914 people have died following massive floods and landslides across Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
“As of this afternoon, the death toll has reached 914, an increase of 47 from yesterday,” said BNPB spokesperson Abdul Muhari in Banda Aceh on Saturday (6/12/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
The update was delivered during a briefing on disaster response at the Aceh Governor’s Office. Aceh recorded the highest fatalities at 359, followed by North Sumatra with 329, and West Sumatra with 226.
Muhari said search and rescue operations were being intensified to prevent further loss of life.
BNPB also reported 389 people still missing across the three provinces, down from 521 the previous day, as some survivors have been found or reported themselves safe.
