inp.polri.go.id - Kupang. The NTT Regional Police, through the Directorate of Water and Air Police (Polairud), share snacks in several coastal areas and waters of NTT to enliven the holy month of Ramadan 2026.

This activity targeted fishermen, ship crews, and coastal communities engaged in activities approaching the time to break the fast.

The Director of the NTT Regional Police's Marine and Air Police, Senior Superintendent Irwan Deffi Nasution, explained that this snack sharing demonstrates the police's concern and presence in the community, especially the maritime community.

"This snack sharing is not just about sharing food for breaking the fast, but also serves as a means of strengthening ties, fostering empathy, and strengthening the relationship between INP and coastal communities," he said.

In the Sikka region, personnel from the NTT Regional Police's Marine and Air Police Patrol Boat, along with Bhayangkari, distributed snacks around Wuring Port, West Alok District, Sikka Regency.

The activity was also carried out in collaboration with the Sikka Sub-regional Police's Marine and Air Police Unit, the Scouts, and the South Sulawesi Family Harmony (KKSS) community organization in Sikka Regency.

Similar activities were also carried out in the waters of Kupang Bay, East Flores, and Labuan Bajo, targeting boat crews, small-scale fishermen, and coastal communities. The Director of Polairud emphasized that social activities like this will continue to be carried out as a form of implementing the humane and responsive Precision Police (Polri Precision).

"This is a concrete manifestation of the Polri's presence for the community," concluded Irwan. The activity, which took place from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, proceeded safely and smoothly.
