Key players include Maarten Paes, FC Dallas’ goalkeeper, who recently won a legal battle to represent Indonesia. Other returning players are Nadeo Argawinata, Witan Sulaeman, and Ramadhan Sananta. Regulars like Asnawi Mangkualam, Pratama Arhan, and Jay Idzes, who debuted in Serie A, are also included.
Indonesia first faces Saudi Arabia at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium, Jeddah, on Friday (30/8/2024). It will host Australia at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, on 10 September 2024.
These matches are critical for Indonesia’s World Cup hopes. The team assembled on Thursday in Jakarta before heading to Saudi Arabia.
