inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs deployed a task force with cellular operators to monitor the quality of telecommunications services during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Ismail, stated that the monitoring was carried out to ensure that telecommunications services continued to operate smoothly during holiday.
"The government, through Komdigi, will continue to conduct regular monitoring to ensure that telecommunications services continue to operate smoothly throughout Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr 2026," explained Secretary General Ismail on Friday (3/13/2026).
The task force, formed in collaboration with cellular operators XLSMART, Telkomsel, and Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, was tasked with monitoring telecommunications services at several strategic locations from March 13–29, 2026.
Officers were stationed at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Gambir Station, Semarang Tawang Station, KCIC Halim Station, and Tanjung Perak Port in Surabaya.
Monitoring is also being conducted at the KM 57 Rest Area during the homecoming flow and the KM 62 Rest Area during the return flow, Merak Port during the homecoming flow and Bakauheni Port during the return flow, as well as Gilimanuk Port during the homecoming flow and Ketapang Port during the return flow.
Director General of Digital Infrastructure at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs, Wayan Toni Supriyanto, stated that monitoring is also being conducted at all airports and 35 Technical Implementation Units of the Radio Frequency Spectrum Monitoring Center to ensure telecommunications frequencies remain secure.
All monitoring results are integrated at the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs' Communication Monitoring Center in Jakarta.
In addition, the government is preparing an Early Warning System (EWS) and enhancing the 112 Call Center service available in 190 regencies/cities to support public communication services during Eid al-Fitr.
