Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Defense confirmed that the A400M military transport aircraft will arrive in Indonesia on 3 November 2025, and will be officially received by Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin before being handed over to the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU).

Air Force spokesperson Air Commodore I Nyoman Suadnyana said on Saturday (25/10/2025) that the handover ceremony will take place at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, East Jakarta. 

The new aircraft will strengthen Indonesia’s air mobility capabilities, particularly for logistics transport and non-combat military operations, according to antaranews.com

The A400M, produced by Airbus, can carry up to 37 tons of cargo and 116 fully equipped troops. It can also transport heavy vehicles such as fuel trucks, excavators, and missile launchers.

The Air Force has deployed 22 personnel to Spain for operational and maintenance training, who will return with the aircraft. The A400M will be stationed at Squadron 31, Halim Perdanakusuma, alongside existing Hercules transport planes
