Inp.polri.go.id - Denpasar. The Denpasar City Sub-regional Police handed over 26 foreign citizens from the Philippines and Kenya to Ngurah Rai Immigration on Wednesday (29/4/2026).
The group, rescued from a confinement site in Kedonganan, Badung, was transferred to undergo further processing according to Indonesian immigration laws.
"Currently, investigators are conducting examinations regarding this case and coordinating with both immigration and the relevant embassies," said Head of Public Relations Head of the Denpasar Police First Inspector I Gede Adi Saputra Jaya, as reported by antaranews.com.
The handover follows a joint police raid on a guest house on Monday, triggered by a report from the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta. The victims were allegedly confined to work as scam operators.
During the operation, police discovered that several individuals lacked valid travel documents. Authorities are continuing to investigate the criminal network behind the confinement while working closely with international representatives to ensure the victims' safety.
