inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago called on all parties, including the public, to work together to eradicate narcotics.

"Eradicating narcotics is not only the responsibility of the state and law enforcement officials. It is a duty in this world and the hereafter to save humanity and save our nation for the future," said Djamari while attending the 2026 International Anti-Narcotics Day (HANI) Commemoration held at the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) Rehabilitation Center in Bogor, as quoted in an official press release on Friday (7/24/2026).

According to Djamari, this collaboration is necessary because the current distribution of narcotics is very massive.

If relying solely on law enforcement, Djamari believes the country will struggle to eradicate the circulation of these illicit goods.

He continued, stating that the phenomenon of narcotics distribution should also be a public concern because it threatens the nation's future generations.

"Drug abuse and illicit trafficking are not just legal issues, but a real threat to our country's future. Therefore, let us work together to save Indonesia's young generation from the dangers of narcotics," Djamari emphasized.

Djamari also urged law enforcement officials such as the National Narcotics Agency (BNN), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and the Attorney General's Office (AGO) to work professionally, strengthen their integrity, and demonstrate transparency in eradicating narcotics trafficking.

He believes that law enforcement must possess such attitudes to be worthy of their responsibility as the spearhead of narcotics eradication.
