inp.polri.go.id - Lampung. Lampung Regional Police held a press conference following massive drug crime uncovering from February to June 2026.

Led by Lampung Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Helfi Assegaf, the case uncovering is said to be centered in the strategic area of Seaport Interdiction Bakauheni, South Lampung.

In the drug operation, police have uncovered 17 drug crimes from the four months operation, with 24 suspects arrested.

Police estimate that 948,628 people are saved by the dangers of drugs after the prevention of drug smuggling in the area.

Through thorough investigation, police revealed that suspects used many ways to hide their illicit goods such as smuggling the illicit goods into bags, cardboard boxes, vehicle speaker boxes, and hidden luggage. They traveled using private vehicles and public transportation such as buses, minibuses, and delivery vans.

They also smuggled the drugs by entrusting them to others in the form of carefully packaged packages.

Officers seized a massive amount of evidence from the suspects including 179.5 kg of methamphetamine, 58 kg of marijuana, 44,128 ecstasy pills, 11.4 kg of ketamine, 20,000 Erimin 5/Happy Five pills, 3,148 etomidate cartridges, 5 liters of etomidate liquid.

The total value of the confiscated drugs are estimated to reach IDR 235 billion.

On the other hand, eight cars (including a Toyota Fortuner, Xpander, Avanza, and an ID Express delivery van), six handbags/backpacks, five cell phones of various brands, and one vehicle registration certificate were also seized by the police.

To be held accountable for their actions, the perpetrators were charged under multiple articles with maximum penalties.

Chief Helfi emphasized that they will not give any room to perpetrators of illicit drug trafficking.

"Drugs are our common enemy. Eradicating these illicit goods cannot be done by the police alone; it requires cooperation from all elements of society to save our future generations," said Helfi.

Police urge the public to remain vigilant and actively report any suspicious drug-related activity in their neighborhoods through the 24-hour toll-free Police Service 110.
