Inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. The East Java Regional Police have named two suspects in the alleged forced eviction and assault of an 80-year-old woman, Elina Widjajanti, in Surabaya, following a case review and scientific crime investigation on Monday (29/12/2025).
“Earlier today we examined expert witnesses, held a case review, and named two suspects, identified as SAK and MY. Suspect SAK has been detained and is undergoing questioning,” said East Java Police Criminal Investigation Director Senior Superintendent Widi Atmoko, as quoted by antaranews.com
The incident occurred at the victim’s home in Sambikerep District, Surabaya, and drew public attention after a video circulated showing a group forcibly removing the elderly woman. Police said suspect SAK allegedly coordinated the group, while suspect MY and others physically carried the victim out of her house.
Suspect SAK has been detained, while suspect MY remains at large. Investigators said the case may expand as inquiries continue. Both suspects are charged under Article 170 of the Criminal Code for collective violence.
