Inp.polri.go.id - Maumere. East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko, East Nusa Tenggara Governor Melkiades Laka Lena and members of the local Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) distributed 100 emergency relief packages to earthquake-affected residents in Sikka Regency on Saturday (15/8/2026)

The distribution took place at the Alok Police Office in Maumere during a direct field inspection to assess post-earthquake conditions and evaluate local response operations.

"This aid reflects the immediate concern and presence of the East Nusa Tenggara Police Chief and regional leadership for communities impacted by the earthquake," said East Nusa Tenggara Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra. "We hope these relief packages help ease the immediate burden on local families during this emergency phase."

In addition to providing essential supplies, the delegation inspected affected public infrastructure and evaluated emergency service delivery across the district. Officers from the East Nusa Tenggara down to local office levels remain deployed across Sikka to assist with search, rescue, logistics distribution, and public security enforcement.
