Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko distributed relief assistance from the Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief to Manggarai Sub-regional Police officers affected by the Flores earthquake in Ruteng, Manggarai Regency, on Wednesday (2/9/2026).

The aid package included 35 containers of social assistance following damage assessments showing 20 officers' homes and several police facilities, including the Manggarai Sub-regional Police Headquarters and multiple sector stations, suffered severe to light damage, as reported by antaranews.com.

"This is a form of direct leadership care for our members," Chief Darmoko said. "INP leadership must not only provide service to the community, but also ensure that affected officers receive necessary support."

East Nusa Tenggara Police Head of Public Relations Officer Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra added that the initiative aims to relieve financial burdens and maintain operational morale during post-disaster recovery while urging residents and officers to remain vigilant against potential aftershocks.
