Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police) and its constituent sub-regional police deployed 845 police officers to reinforce emergency response operations across Flores following the magnitude 7.7 earthquake on Saturday (15/8/2026).

The police response force comprises 168 personnel from the East Nusa Tenggara headquarters and 677 officers from sub-regional police). In addition, 821 joint officers from inter-agency partners have been mobilized to affected zones.

"The East Nusa Tenggara Police and sub-regional police ranks deployed officers to support disaster management, prioritizing search and rescue, public assistance, and emergency services across affected regions," said East Nusa Tenggara Police Head of Public Relations Senior Superintendent Henry Novika Chandra.

Among the regional deployments, the Ende Sub-regional Police fielded the largest contingent with 182 personnel, followed by the East Manggarai Sub-regional Police (150), the Manggarai SUb-regional Police (100), the Nagekeo Sub-regional Police(80), the Sikka Sub-regional (75), the West Manggarai Sub-regional (72), and the Ngada Sub-regional (70). Authorities continue to prioritize public safety and rapid humanitarian aid distribution across Flores.
