Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The East Ogan Komering Ulu Sub-regional Police trained officers to extinguish forest and land fires using X-Fire chemical solution during a simulation at Satya Haprabu Square, South Sumatra, on Saturday (12/9/2026).

East Ogan Komering Ulu Police Chief Superintendent Lalu Hedwin Hanggara led the exercise directly to ensure officers mastered the practical application of the fire suppressant in field operations.

"Officers must be ready. If karhutla occurs in East OKU, we already understand how to use X-Fire and can take immediate action," he said, as cited by antaranews.com.

During the session, personnel received instructions on mixing ratios, formulations, and application methods for X-Fire 01 and X-Fire 02 variants. Chief Lalu noted that the specialized chemical solution lowers temperatures and extinguishes underground peat embers more effectively than equal volumes of water.
