inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Indonesian National Police (INP) Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, stated that Eid al-Adha is a momentum for police personnel to be more sincere and dedicated to the community.
He conveyed this during the Eid al-Adha celebration held by INP Traffic Corps and the Central Java Regional Police Traffic Directorate in Mijen, Central Java, on Friday (5/29/2026).
"Eid al-Adha embodies the meaning of sacrifice in carrying out duties to the community, including sharing with those in need," said Agus.
He hopes that the values of sincerity and sacrifice during Eid al-Adha will inspire traffic police personnel to provide services to the community, especially in maintaining traffic safety and order.
"Hopefully, the spirit of sacrifice during Eid al-Adha can boost the dedication of members in the field in maintaining traffic safety and order," he said.
The Head of the Traffic Corps emphasized that the meaning of sacrifice is not limited to the slaughter of animals, but also serves as a momentum for self-improvement in carrying out their duties.
According to him, traffic police personnel need to eliminate negative attitudes, including arrogance and arbitrary actions, in carrying out their duties.
"It's not just a ritual slaughtering animals, but also an effort to improve oneself and eliminate negative traits," said the Traffic Corps Chief.
He hopes that the momentum of Eid al-Adha will serve as a reminder for National Police personnel to serve wholeheartedly to maintain public order and security.
