Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. A viral video circulating on social media claiming that President Prabowo Subianto and Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa announced official grant aid has been confirmed as false.

Fact-checking analysis by the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs  and media reports revealed that the video was generated using artificial intelligence (AI) manipulation technology, with audio analysis indicating a 99% probability of AI deepfake generation.

The original footage was traced to a video published by Kompas.com showing President Prabowo Subianto convening a limited cabinet meeting with several ministers, including Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa and Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, at his residence in Kertanegara on 16 October 2025. 

State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed the original meeting was held to report routine updates and administrative challenges within the administration, with no discussions regarding public grant disbursements.

Authorities urge the public to remain vigilant against AI-generated deepfakes and verify financial policy announcements through official government channels.
