inp.polri.go.id - Padang. The West Sumatra Regional Police's Special Criminal Investigation Directorate successfully uncovered a warehouse used to store subsidized diesel fuel in Kubung District, Solok Regency.

The case began with a surprise inspection conducted by the police at gas station 14,273,548 in Solok Regency. The operation was led by the Director of Special Criminal Investigation Directorate at the West Sumatra Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Andry Kurniawan.

During the inspection, officers became suspicious of a vehicle suspected of repeatedly purchasing subsidized fuel. 

"From the inspection, we found a vehicle suspected of shunting subsidized diesel fuel. After an investigation, the driver admitted to hoarding the fuel," said Andry.

The police quickly proceeded to the location indicated by the driver. Officers visited a hidden warehouse located in the Kubung District.

At the location, police found evidence in the form of 23 30-liter jerry cans filled with subsidized diesel fuel.

Following this discovery, police immediately arrested a man identified as F, who is strongly suspected of being involved in the hoarding network. The perpetrator and the evidence have been handed over to police for further legal proceedings.

"The perpetrator has been detained and handed over to the local police for further legal proceedings," he said.

Andry emphasized that the West Sumatra Regional Police will not remain silent and will continue to tighten supervision of subsidized fuel distribution channels throughout West Sumatra.

This firm action is being taken to ensure that government energy subsidy assistance is properly targeted and not misappropriated to finance illegal businesses.
