Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. An East Jakarta gas station attacker who assaulted three employees at a Cipinang station on Sunday has tested positive for crystal methamphetamine and marijuana.

The suspect, identified as JMH (31), also admitted to consuming ecstasy prior to the violent incident, which left one victim with a lost tooth.

“Urine tests confirmed the suspect was under the influence of meth and marijuana. His inconsistent and erratic statements during interrogation prompted our medical team to conduct the screening,” said East Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police Chief Senior Superintendent Alfian Nurrizal on Wednesday (25/2/2026), as quoted by antaranews.com.

The altercation began when a staff member refused to process a fuel purchase because the suspect’s subsidy barcode did not match his Toyota Vellfire.

Suspect JMH, a private entrepreneur who initially claimed to be a police officer, allegedly assaulted three workers over the course of an hour. Police clarified that being under the influence does not exempt the suspect from criminal liability. He now faces charges under the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of two years and six months.
