Inp.polri.go.id - Palembang. Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo has appointed Inspector General Sandi Nugroho as Chief of South Sumatra Regional Police, replacing Inspector General Andi Rian R. Djajadi, as part of a nationwide leadership rotation in January 2026.
The decision is stipulated in Police Telegram Letter No. ST/99/I/KEP/2026 dated 15 January 2026.
“Yes, the telegram has been issued. Rotations are a routine mechanism to strengthen the organization, develop careers, and improve public service,” South Sumatra Police Head of Public Relations Senior Commissioner Nandang Mu’min Wijaya said on Saturday (24/1/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
Chief Andi Rian has been reassigned as Deputy Head of the INP Education and Training Institute. Chief Sandi will be replaced by Inspector General Johny Eddizon Isir, who was previously the Chief of West Papua Regional Police
INP Public Relations Division Head of Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko said the rotation covers 85 senior and mid-ranking officers under two telegrams, filling strategic posts at headquarters and regional levels.
Regional changes include Brigadier General Alfred Papare as West Papua Regional Police Chief and Commissioner General Jermias Rontini as Central Papua Regional Police Chief.
