inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) confirmed that the narrative that 30 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine disappeared as it melted due to hot weather is fake news (hoax). The narrative circulated on social media through the account X @tanyakanrl.

The Head of the Public Relations Division of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Inspector General Johnny Edison Isir, urged the public to work together to improve digital literacy and critical thinking by verifying all information circulating on social media.

"Is it true or not? Is it good or bad? Is it useful or not? Please consider everything before sharing," he explained, Wednesday (3/4/2026).

Johnny hopes the public will be able to respond to the abundance of information in the digital space responsibly and carefully. Undeniably, information on social media, categorized as hoaxes, disinformation, and incomplete information, is still frequently circulating.

"Let's maintain a healthy, productive, and constructive digital space for the advancement of society, the nation, and the state," he said.
