inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Vice Minister of Creative Economy, Irene Umar, stated that Ramadan is the perfect time to encourage young people to take advantage of learning spaces that can boost economic opportunities and foster the courage to innovate in the technological era through the strategic synergy between the Ministry of Creative Economy and Mahir Digital through KURMA 2.0.

"It's important to identify the right platform for learning about digital assets and understanding the characteristics of the target market. KURMA 2.0 demonstrates that collaboration and adaptation through technology can enhance personal capacity during Ramadan," explained Irene on Monday (3/9/2026).

She stated that Indonesia has the largest market in Southeast Asia, with a population of over 280 million. Through the Mahir Digital platform, people can reach a wider global market.

Irene also believes that young people who understand technology can earn income from home as long as technology advances. According to her, the digital era is not determined by a person's length of experience in business, but by their willingness to learn and adapt to technology.

Furthermore, she stated that the Mahir Digital platform aligns with the Gen Matic Program, initiated by the Ministry of Creative Economy, a flagship program aimed at enhancing the competency of the younger generation in utilizing digital economic opportunities as affiliates and professional content creators through creative industry-based training.

"KURMA 2.0 focuses on strengthening digital literacy, developing digital entrepreneurship, and empowering communities through the use of technology. These three aspects are highly relevant to the joint effort to build an inclusive, innovative, and sustainable creative economy ecosystem, thereby opening up broad opportunities in the digital era," explained Irene.

Potential collaboration between Mahir Digital and the Gen Matic Program can begin through joint training, business assistance, and mentoring for program participants. With their extensive networks and expertise, this collaboration is expected to have a greater impact on the growth of the digital economy in Indonesia.

"When someone is able to create digital assets, their work can be purchased repeatedly by many people and has the potential to generate passive income," she added.

The Mahir Digital Ramadan Lecture is expected to be more than just a ceremonial event, but also to foster a growing community that supports each other in building businesses in the digital era.
