inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. President Prabowo Subianto is targeting the establishment of more than 25,000 Red and White Cooperatives across Indonesia within three months as a concrete effort to massively strengthen the foundations of the people's economy.

"Soon, we will inaugurate 1,000 Red and White Cooperatives, probably in two or three weeks. After that, in two to three months, we will inaugurate more than 25,000 cooperatives," Prabowo said at the groundbreaking ceremony for 13 downstream projects in Cilacap, Central Java, broadcast via the Cabinet Secretariat's YouTube channel in Jakarta on Wednesday (4/29/2026).

The President emphasized that the established cooperatives have complete supporting facilities for their operations.

He mentioned that each cooperative will be equipped with a warehouse, refrigeration equipment, and operational vehicles for distributing goods.

The Red and White Cooperative is a strategic government initiative launched by President Prabowo Subianto as a pillar of strengthening the people's economy through Presidential Instruction Number 9 of 2025.

This program targets the establishment of up to 80,000 cooperative units across Indonesia to encourage village independence and accelerate the achievement of national food and energy sovereignty.

This cooperative is designed to serve as the primary aggregator of the rural economy, with digitalized trade management.
