inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Trade Minister Budi Santoso stated that the government has agreed to adjust the increase in the Highest Retail Price (HET) for Minyakita and is targeting its implementation within the next one to two weeks.
"Today we have agreed to increase the highest retail price for Minyakita," said the Trade Minister on Thursday (6/4/2026).
He explained that the new HET is still being discussed further by relevant ministries and agencies. The government is still monitoring developments in crude palm oil (CPO) and fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices before setting the final figure.
"We will see if the price stabilizes, and then we will determine the figure for the highest retail price increase for Minyakita," said Budi.
According to him, the planned HET adjustment is based on the increase in the price of CPO raw materials and production costs, which affect the economics of Minyakita. Furthermore, the current HET has been in effect for more than three years.
Currently, Minyakita's HET is set at IDR 15,700 per liter. The government emphasized that price adjustments are based on production costs and raw material market conditions, with a final decision expected within the next one to two weeks.
