inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Chairman of Commission III of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR), Habiburokhman, praised the transparency of Indonesian National Police (INP) in taking action against police personnel who commit violations.
"I must say that INP is the institution that has responded best to violations committed by its own individuals," said Habiburokhman, Monday (4/13/2026).
According to him, in other institutions, the public cannot track the process of taking action against violating personnel.
"We can't track what sanctions are imposed, whether they are simply detention or legal proceedings," he said.
However, in INP, all enforcement processes are carried out openly, including the imposition of dishonorable discharge (PTDH) sanctions.
"So, from what I see, the institution under Pak Sigit is not allergic to transparency," said the Chairman of Commission III.
He believes that this transparency confirms that the perpetrators of violations are individuals and not the institution as a whole.
"The public can finally see how decisively INP deals with individuals who commit violations. That's what we've done by holding numerous public hearings regarding alleged violations by law enforcement officers," said Habiburokhman.
