Inp.polri.go.id - Surabaya. Minister of Hajj and Umrah Mochamad Irfan Yusuf confirmed on Tuesday (24/3/2026) that the 2026 Hajj departure schedule remains unchanged despite escalating geopolitical tensions between the United States and Iran.
"As of now, everything remains on schedule. We hope there will be no changes leading up to the first departures on April 22," he said following a coordinating event with the Hajj Financial Management Agency (BPKH), as reported by antaranews.com
The Minister clarified that preparations for accommodation, transportation, and funding are fully secured and unaffected by regional instability. He noted that direct flights to Saudi Arabia continue to operate normally, with no current disruptions to aviation routes.
To ensure the safety of millions of pilgrims, the government maintains constant communication with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj, which has reaffirmed that all arrival windows remain open.
The ministry continues to prioritize a 5% quota for elderly pilgrims while strictly monitoring Umrah travel providers to guarantee the safe return of all Indonesian pilgrims currently in Saudi Arabia.
