Hajj Officers to Depart to Mecca on April 17-18 to Prepare for 1447 Hijri Pilgrim

inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah will send the Indonesian hajj officers to Mecca on April 17-18, 2026 in preparation of the service for the pilgrims of Hajj 1447 Hijri.

The Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Mochamad Irfan Yusuf says that the officers will safeguard the pilgrim mission on their duties at the Airport and Medina Work Area.

“The schedule of PPIH Saudi Arabia of 2026 begins with the departure of advance team on April 13, 2026, followed by the departure of our teams that will be stationed at the Airport and Medina on April 17-18, 2026,” says Irfan on Tuesday (4/14/2026)

Furthermore, he said, Mecca Work Department officers will be dispatched in stages on April 22 and 23, 2026, to ensure the readiness of pilgrim services in the Holy Land. Meanwhile, the Amirul Hajj is scheduled to depart on May 19, 2026.

According to Hajj Minister Irfan, this schedule was designed to ensure that all aspects of service, from the arrival of pilgrims to the implementation of their pilgrimage, can run optimally.

"The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is fully committed to carrying out its mandate to organize the Hajj pilgrimage professionally, transparently, and responsibly," he said.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated that Indonesia has received an official Hajj quota of 221,000 people in 2026, consisting of 203,320 regular Hajj pilgrims and 17,680 special Hajj pilgrims.
