inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Amidst the ongoing extreme weather, the government continues to modify weather as an anticipatory step, particularly ahead of the Year-End Holiday Season.

“The weather modification effort will continue to be carried out, whether by the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) and provincial governments,” says Pratikno on Tuesday (12/10/2024).

Pratikno says that the weather modification process will be carried out gradually with the goal of reducing the excessive rain.

Other than modifying the weather, other steps are optimizing the existing infrastructure by focusing on infrastructure maintenance and renovation.

Furthermore, Pratikno also highlights the importance of technical personnel preparation on the field to ensure firm flood handling.
