inp.polri.go.id - Southeast Sulawesi. The Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police has deployed health posts and disaster posts from the Mobile Brigade Corps to aid people affected by flooding in Kendari City on Monday (May 11, 2026). 

This step was taken as a rapid response by the police and relevant agencies to ensure the needs of the victims are met during the emergency situation.

The Vice Chief of the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police, Brigadier General Gidion Arief Setyawan, stated that his office has established integrated posts in flood-affected areas, including in Kali Wanggu. 

"There are health posts and disaster posts established by the Mobile Brigade Corps, which are integrated with relevant agencies to ensure optimal community response," he said during a direct inspection of the flood site.

In addition to providing health services, the Southeast Sulawesi Regional Police are also collaborating with the Social Services Agency and the National Nutrition Agency to distribute food aid to affected residents. 

This aid is being prepared to ensure that the flood victims continue to receive sufficient and proper food during the flooding.

Personnel also operated water treatment vehicles to provide clean, potable water to residents experiencing difficulties accessing water. Clean water distribution has been carried out in several residential areas affected by the flooding.

Gidion added that the ongoing problem that is currently facing the people in the flood affected area is power outages. 

"We will send emergency lights while the electricity supply is still low," he concluded.
