Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta’s Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported on Sunday (8/3/2026) that torrential rains have flooded 39 neighborhood units and 13 main roads across West and South Jakarta.
High-intensity rainfall starting Saturday night triggered water levels ranging from 20 centimeters to a critical 1.5 meters in some residential areas.
"The most severe flooding is currently in South Jakarta’s Pela Mampang, where water levels have reached 150 centimeters," said Mohamad Yohan, the Head of the BPBD Data and Information Center, as cited by antaranews.com.
In West Jakarta, 19 neighborhoods are affected, with the South Sukabumi area seeing depths of 1.2 meters. Meanwhile, South Jakarta faces widespread disruption across 20 neighborhoods, particularly in Petogogan and Cilandak areas. Major transit routes, including Jalan Daan Mogot and Jalan Ciledug Raya, are experiencing significant inundation, stalling traffic.
BPBD Jakarta has deployed mobile pumps and personnel from the Water Resources and Fire departments to accelerate drainage. Residents are urged to remain vigilant and utilize the 24-hour emergency hotline 112 for immediate assistance.
