Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education confirmed on Wednesday (25/3/2026) that full face-to-face learning will resume at schools across Indonesia immediately following the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
"Following the inter-ministerial meeting on Monday, in-person schooling will proceed as usual, prioritizing academic standards and the strengthening of student character education," said Minister Abdul Mu'ti, asa reported by antaranews.com.
The decision officially cancels previous discussions regarding a transition to hybrid learning models for fuel efficiency.
Supporting the move, Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Cultural Affairs Pratikno said that maintaining physical classroom attendance is essential to preventing "learning loss" and ensuring the quality of national education.
He reiterated that the administration remains focused on revitalizing public schools and accelerating educational improvements under President Prabowo Subianto's priority programs. While medical services will operate normally, the government maintains that the human element of direct teacher-student interaction is irreplaceable for fostering the integrity and social values of the next generation.
