Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) completed a reciprocal fugitive exchange with the People's Republic of China (PRC) on Monday (13/7/2026). Under this bilateral mechanism, Indonesia repatriated three Chinese fugitives, while China extradited one Indonesian fraud suspect back to Jakarta.

"This fugitive exchange demonstrates the INP’s commitment to strengthening international cooperation to ensure criminals have no safe haven," said Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, the Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia.

The repatriation of the Chinese suspects, identified as ZR, LZ, and HZ, was conducted in two phases ending on 11 July 2026, with the suspects handed over directly to Chinese authorities. 

Meanwhile, the Indonesian suspect, identified as KT, arrived at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport on Monday night and was immediately transferred to the INP’s Criminal Investigation Agency for legal proceedings.
