The partnership aims to secure global supply chains and accelerate low-carbon technology development under the Asia Zero Emission Community (AZEC) framework.
Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade, and Industry Ryosei Akazawa reiterated Japan's commitment to strategic energy projects, including the completion of the Legok Nangka Waste-to-Energy (PLTSa) plant. The collaboration is expected to further extend to stabilizing regional liquefied natural gas (LNG) and coal supply chains, ensuring energy resilience and advancing decarbonization efforts across the Indo-Pacific region.
