Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Defense has dispatched the Indonesian Military (TNI) Medical Task Force to provide treatment for civilians in conflict-hit Palestine.
“This mission is a sacred duty for humanity. You will help people who desperately need assistance,” said Deputy Defense Minister Donny Ermawan Taufanto at the send-off ceremony on Thursday (14/8/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
The 25-member team includes orthopedic, anesthetic, internal medicine, radiology, and rehabilitation specialists, along with nurses, lab analysts, and pharmacists. They will serve at the Field Hospital in Rafah and the Floating Hospital in Al Arish, replacing the previous TNI team, who had treated 7,247 patients and performed 131 surgeries during their term.
As part of TNI’s non-combat military operations for global peace, the mission aims to strengthen Indonesia’s humanitarian role internationally.
