inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Head of Career Development Bureau of Indonesian National Police (INP), Brigadier General Langgeng Purnomo emphasized the importance of lighting up the spirit of nationalism based on national identity.

He believes that this attitude will be a strong asset in facing the dynamics of international geopolitics.

He explained that the development of Indonesian-characterized human resources (HR) for police officers must internalize nationalism through three main pillars that support each other. These three pillars are spiritual, intellectual, and cultural.

"The tug-of-war of international geopolitics is a complex dynamic of interaction between countries at the global level, influenced by political, economic, security, and cultural factors," he explained at a seminar entitled "Reconstruction of National Identity: Uniting the Archipelago to Realize a Conscious and Character-Based Police" in South Jakarta, Wednesday (10/15/2025).

He also said this phenomenon has given rise to various forms of relations between countries, ranging from cooperation to conflict. He mentioned that globalization, trade wars, free markets, and polarization are things that have emerged from this phenomenon.

"Our Iron Dome (protection) isn't missiles or nuclear weapons, but character," said Langgeng.
