Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Embassy) in Amman confirmed that 27 Indonesian citizens on a religious pilgrimage have departed Jordan via alternative flights after they were stranded due to widespread flight cancellations triggered by escalating war between Iran, the United States, and Israel.
"The Indonesian Embassy Amman has remained active in communicating with and monitoring these groups. So far, 27 pilgrims from different groups have left Jordan via alternative flights through Cairo," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Thursday (5/3/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.
The embassy responded to the pilgrims' concerns by providing medical supplies, Indonesian meals, and logistical information regarding charter flight options. The Ministry also clarified that social media reports claiming the embassy ignored the group were inaccurate, noting the uploader has since apologized.
