Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian Navy welcomed its newest and most advanced warship, KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321, which arrived in Indonesian waters on Monday (23/3/2026) after a transcontinental voyage from Italy.

"Yes, it is correct. KRI Prabu Siliwangi-321 has arrived here and is currently docked at Panjang Pier in Lampung for logistical replenishment," confirmed First Admiral Tunggul, the Head of the Navy's Information Service, as cited by antaranews.com.

The vessel, constructed by the renowned Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri, is scheduled to depart Lampung for a formal welcoming ceremony in Jakarta on Thursday. Once commissioned, it will join the Indonesian Fleet Command to bolster maritime security.

Technically identical to its predecessor, KRI Brawijaya-321, this new warship represents the pinnacle of Indonesia’s current naval modernization. It features state-of-the-art combat systems, high-maneuverability capabilities, and advanced weaponry designed to protect Indonesia's sprawling archipelagic waters.

The handover of the vessel was personally attended by the Navy Chief of Staff, Admiral Muhammad Ali, in Muggiano, Italy, late last year, marking a significant milestone in the nation's defense procurement strategy.
