Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) deployed 372 Police Academy (Akpol) cadets alongside Indonesian Military (TNI) Academy cadets to mentor students across 73 People’s Schools (Sekolah Rakyat) under the 2026 Taruna Bhakti Program.
The initiative supports government efforts to enhance human resource development through early character building, discipline, leadership, and national awareness.
INP Head of Public Information Bureau Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko highlighted that cadet participation aligns with directions from Minister of Social Affairs Saifullah Yusuf during the program launch at Adisutjipto Air Force Base, Yogyakarta, on 1 August 2026. Cadets serve as big brothers and role models for students adapting to boarding school life.
"The INP fully supports the Sekolah Rakyat Program as a strategic government step in building an exceptional Indonesian generation," Brigadier General Trunoyudo stated on Tuesday (4/8). "Cadets are present not just to accompany student activities, but as mentoring big brothers who demonstrate discipline, leadership, integrity, responsibility, and service."
A total of 482 INP officers, including 372 Akpol cadets and 110 field supervisors (Paping), were assigned across 29 Cadet Sub-Units (Subsattar) in 73 schools. Coinciding with the School Environment Orientation Period), the five-day program covers time management, personal hygiene, basic drill training, leadership building, scout activities, and anti-bullying awareness to nurture confident, independent students.
