Inp.polri.go.id - Cilegaon. The Indonesian National Police (INP)’s Criminal Investigation Agency conducted a massive drug disposal operation at PT Wastec in Cilegon, Banten, on Thursday. 

Under the supervision of the Directorate of Drug Crimes, authorities destroyed 47,562 grams of crystal methamphetamine and over 100,000 Happy Five (Nimetazepam) tablets seized from four separate major narcotics cases.

"The disposal was carried out smoothly and safely, witnessed by the suspects, investigators, forensic experts, and prosecutors," said Senior Superintendent Handik Zusen, the Head of Sub-Directorate 4, on Friday (6/3/2024), as cited by antaranews.com..

The evidence originated from three meth-related busts involving suspects Abiyu, Gilang, and Martunis, along with one significant Happy Five distribution case involving suspect M. Syafiq. 

While the vast majority of the narcotics were incinerated using industrial-grade waste management facilities, small samples were retained as physical evidence for upcoming court proceedings.
